ਬਿਸਨੁਪਦਪੁੰਨ੍ਯਾਕੀ॥ਦੇਵਪਲਾਸੀ॥ਚਰਪਦਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਹਜ਼ੂਰ॥
The Khalsa is my special embodiment;
बिसनुपद पुंन्याकी ॥ देव पलासी ॥ चरपद बक़शश हज़ूर ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਰੂਪਹੈਖ਼ਾਸ॥
The Khalsa is my special embodiment;
क़ालसा मेरो रूप है क़ास ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮਹਿਹਉਂਕਰਉਂਨਿਵਾਸ॥
I dwell within the Khalsa.
क़ालसा महि हउं करउं निवास ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਰੂਪਹੈਅੰਗ॥
Khalsa is my chief organ
क़ालसा मेरो रूप है अंग ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕੇਹਉਂਬਸਤਿਸਦਸੰਗ੧॥॥
always I live within the Khalsa. 519
क़ालसे के हउं बसति सद संग ॥१॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਇਸ਼ਟਸੁਹਿਰਦ॥
The Khalsa is the object of my devotion;
क़ालसा मेरो इशट सुहिरद ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਹੀਅਤਬਿਰਦ॥
the Khalsa proclaims my reputation.
क़ालसा मेरो कहीअत बिरद ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਪੱਛਅਰੁਪਾਦ॥
The Khalsa is my wings and my feet;
क़ालसा मेरो पच्छ अरु पाद ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸੁਖਅਹਿਲਾਦ੨॥॥
the Khalsa is the offspring in whom I delight. 520
क़ालसा मेरो सुख अहिलाद ॥२॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਮਿਤ੍ਰਸਖਾਈ॥
The Khalsa is my encouraging friend;
क़ालसा मेरो मित्र सखाई ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਸੁਖਦਾਈ॥
the Khalsa is my parents who give me joy.
क़ालसा मात पिता सुखदाई ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਸ਼ੋਭਾਸ਼ੀਲ॥
The Khalsa is my virtuous delight,
क़ालसा मेरी शोभा शील ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਬੰਧੁਸਖ਼ਾਸਦਡੀਲ੩॥॥
ever tied together in friend-ship with me. 521
क़ालसा बंधु सक़ा सद डील ॥३॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਜਤਿਅਰੁਪਤਿ॥
The Khalsa is my virtue and honour;
क़ालसा मेरी जति अरु पति ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਸੋਮਾਕੌਉਤਪਤਿ॥
from the Khalsa I took birth.
क़ालसा सो मा कौ उतपति ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਭਵਨਭੰਡਾਰਿ॥
The Khalsa is my source of supply;
क़ालसा मेरो भवन भंडारि ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕਰਿਮੇਰੋਸਦਕਾਰਿ੪॥॥
through the Khalsa I have performed every deed. 522
क़ालसे करि मेरो सदकारि ॥४॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸ੍ਵਜਨਪਰਿਵਾਰੁ॥
The Khalsa is my friend and family;
क़ालसा मेरो स्वजन परिवारु ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਰਤਿਉਧਾਰੁ॥
the Khalsa works my redemption.
क़ालसा मेरो करति उधारु ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਪਿੰਡਪ੍ਰਾਣ॥
The Khalsa is the breath of my body;
क़ालसा मेरो पिंड प्राण ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਜਾਨਕੀਜਾਨ੫॥॥
the Khalsa is my very life. 523
क़ालसा मेरी जान की जान ॥५॥
ਮਾਨਮਹਤਮੇਰੋਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਸਹੀ॥
मान महत मेरो क़ालसा सही ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸ੍ਵਾਰਥਕਹੀ॥
क़ालसा मेरो स्वारथ कही ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਰੈਨ੍ਰਿਵਾਹ॥
क़ालसा मेरो करै न्रिवाह ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਦੇਹਅਰੁਸਾਹ੬॥॥
क़ालसा मेरो देह अरु साह ॥६॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਧਰਮਅਰੁਕਰਮ॥
The Khalsa is my duty (dharam) and my destiny (karam);
क़ालसा मेरो धरम अरु करम ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਭੇਦਨਿਜਮਰਮ॥
the Khalsa is my deepest secret.
क़ालसा मेरो भेद निज मरम ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੂਰਾ॥
The Khalsa is my perfect Satguru;
क़ालसा मेरो सतिगुरु पूरा ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸੱਜਨਸੂਰਾ੭॥॥
the Khalsa is my family of the noble brave. 524
क़ालसा मेरो सजन सूरा ॥७॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਬੁਧਿਅਰੁਗਿਆਨ॥
The Khalsa is my learning and intelligence;
क़ालसा मेरो बुधि अरु गिआन ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕਾਹਉਂਧਰਉਂਧਿਆਨ॥
on the Khalsa I constantly reflect.
क़ालसे का हउं धरउं धिआन ॥
ਉਪਮਾਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਜਾਤਿਨਕਹੀ॥
No other body is there which can be compared with the Khalsa,
उपमा क़ालसा जाति न कही ॥
ਜਿਹਵਾਏਕਪਾਰੁਨਹਿਲਹੀ੮॥॥
none which may reach its furthest limit. 525
जिहवा एक पारु नहि लही ॥८॥
ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਰਸਨਸਾਰਦਸੀਬੁਧਿ॥
If I had the tongues of Shesh[nag] and the knowledge of Devi
शेश रसन सारद सी बुधि ॥
ਤਦਪਿਨਉਪਮਾਬਰਨਤਿਸੁਧਿ॥
yet would I fail to praise it adequately.
तदपि न उपमा बरनति सुधि ॥
ਯਾਮਹਿਰੰਚਿਨਮਿਥਿਆਭਾਖੀ॥
No falsehood have I uttered,
या महि रंचि न मिथिआ भाखी ॥
ਗੁਰਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਗੁਰਨਾਨਕਸਾਖੀ੯॥॥
as God and Guru Nanak are my witnesses. 526
गुर पारब्रहम गुर नानक साखी ॥९॥
ਰੋਮਰੋਮਜੇਰਸਨਾਪਾਂਉ॥
If one had as many tongues as the hairs on one's body,
रोम रोम जे रसना पांउ ॥
ਤਦਪਿਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਜਸਤਹਿਗਾਊਂ॥
yet they would still be insufficient to sing the praises of the Khalsa.
तदपि क़ालसा जस तहि गाऊं ॥
ਹਉਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕੋਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋ॥
I am the Khalsa, the Khalsa is mine;
हउ क़ालसे को क़ालसा मेरो ॥
ਓਤਪੋਤਿਸਾਗਰਬੂੰਦੇਰੋ੧੦॥॥ਦਸਕ॥
the relationship is as the ocean and its individual drops of water.
ओत पोति सागर बूंदेरो ॥१०॥ दसक ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖਕੀਫ਼ੌਜ॥
The Khalsa is the army of Akal Purakh;
क़ालसा अकाल पुरख की फ़ौज ॥
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਕੀਮੌਜ੧॥॥ਰਹਾਉ੪੫੮੯੯੦੩੩੦੯॥॥॥॥
The Khalsa emerged as the joy of God! 527
प्रगटिओ क़ालसा प्रमातम की मौज ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥४५८॥९९०॥३३०९॥
ਜਬਲਗਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਰਹੇਨਿਆਰਾ॥
जब लग क़ालसा रहे निआरा ॥
ਤਬਲਗਤੇਜਕੀਉਮੈਂਸਾਰਾ॥
तब लग तेज कीउ मैं सारा ॥
ਜਬਇਹਗਹੈਬਿਪਰਨਕੀਰੀਤ॥
जब इह गहै बिपरन की रीत ॥
ਮੈਂਨਕਰੋਂਇਨਕੀਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ॥
मैं न करों इन की प्रतीत ॥
