ਤੀਸਰੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ, ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਨਹਾਰੇ, ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਾਵਤ ਅਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਨ । ਇੱਕ, ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਾਢਾ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰਾ, ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਨ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਮਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦ-ਪਤਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਰ ਕਲੀ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੇੜਾ ਸੀ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਲਿਫ ਹਰ ਭਟਕ ਰਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੁੱਖ ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਮੀਮ ਹਰ ਆਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਵਿ-ਰਸ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਰੇ ਅਮਰ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੌਣਕ ਹੈ । ਨੇਕ-ਬਖ਼ਤੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਦਾਲ ਹਰ ਨਿਰਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਲਿਫ ਹਰ ਪਾਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਨਾਹ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਲਾ ਸੀਨ ਉਸ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਹੈ ।
Third Guru Guru Amar Das Ji. The Third Guru, Guru Amar Das Ji, was the noursiher-upholder of truth, emperor of regions and expansive ocean of bestowals and largess. The strong and powerful angel of death was subservient to him, and the chief of gods of maintaining the accounts of each and every person was under his supervision. The glow of the garb of the flame of truth, and the blossoming of the closed buds is their joy and happiness. The sacred 'Meem", blesses the ear of every grieved and afflicted person with the savor of poetry. The fortunate 'Ray' of his name is the glory and grace of his divine face and the well-intentioned 'Daal' is the support of every helpless. The second 'Alif' of his name provides protection and refuge to every sinner and the last 'Seen' is the image of the Almighty Waaheguru.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਓਸਤ।
Waaheguru is the Truth,
वाहिगुरू जीओ सत ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਓਹਾਜ਼ਰਨਾਜ਼ਰਹੈ।
Waaheguru is Omnipresent
वाहिगुरू जीओ हाज़र नाज़र है ।
ਗੁਰੂਅਮਰਦਾਸਆਂਗਰਾਮੀਨਜ਼ਾਦ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰ ਦਾਸ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ,
Gueu Amar Das was from a great family lineage,
गुरू अमरदास आं गरामी नज़ाद ।
ਜ਼ਿਅਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਲਿਹੱਕਹਸਤੀਅਸ਼ਰਾਮੁਆਦ੬੪।।
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਜਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਮਿਗ੍ਰੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ ।
Whose personality received the wherewithal (to complete the task) from the compassion and benignity of Akaalpurakh. (64)
ज़ि अफ़ज़ालि हक हसतीअश रा मुआद ।६४।
ਜ਼ਿਵਸਫ਼ੋਸਨਾਇਹਮਾਬਰਤਰੀਂ।
ਸਿਫਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਹੈ,
He is uperior than all in terms of laudation and admiration,
ज़ि वसफ़ो सनाइ हमा बरतरीं ।
ਬ-ਸਦਰਿਹਕੀਕਤਮੁਰੱਬਅਨਸ਼ੀਂ੬੫।।
ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਆਸਨ ਤੇ ਚੌਕੜੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ।
He is sitting cross-legged on the seat of the truthful Akaalpurakh. (65)
ब-सदरि हकीकत मुरबअ नशीं ।६५।
ਜਹਾਂਰੌਸ਼ਨਅਜ਼ਨੂਰਿਅਰਸ਼ਾਦਿਊ।
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜਗਮਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
This world is glittering with the radiance of his message,
जहां रौशन अज़ नूरि अरशादि ऊ ।
ਜ਼ਮੀਨੋਜ਼ਮਾਂਗੁਲਸ਼ਨਅਜ਼ਦਾਦਿਊ੬੬।।
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ।
And, this earth and the world have transformed into a beautiful garden due to his fairness. (66)
ज़मीनो ज़मां गुलशन अज़ दादि ऊ ।६६।
ਦੋਆਲਮਗੁਲਾਮਸ਼ਚਿਹਹਜ਼ਦਹਿਹਜ਼ਾਰ।
ਅੱਸੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਹਾਨ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਨ,
What to talk about eighty thousand population, in fact, both the worlds are his slaves and servitors.
दो आलम गुलामश चिह हज़दहि हज़ार ।
ਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਲੋਕਰਾਮਸ਼ਫਜ਼ੂੰਅਜ਼ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ੬੭।।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੈ ।
His praises and extols are innumerable and beyond any count. (67)
